Instructions

  1. 1

Set Instant Pot to saute mode and wait until display shows hot

  2. 2

Chop onions and add to pot with butter, green onions, and minced garlic; cook until translucent

  3. 3

Slice beef sausage into small cubes, add to pot, and cook for 5 minutes

  4. 4

Add navy beans, chicken stock, coconut milk, and all spices to pot; place crab boil bag on top before closing lid

  5. 5

Set Instant Pot to pressure cook at high pressure for 45 minutes

  6. 6

Close lid and turn steam release valve to sealed position

  7. 7

When timer ends, allow pressure to release naturally for at least 15 minutes without opening

  8. 8

Turn steam release valve to venting position to release remaining pressure; once pin drops, carefully open lid

  9. 9

Remove crab boil bag with a large spoon and serve immediately with rice

Tips

Tip 1

Ensure steam release valve is fully sealed before pressure cooking to achieve proper cooking time

Tip 2

Do not skip natural pressure release; quick release can result in undercooked beans and burst skins

Tip 3

Crab boil bag imparts characteristic Cajun flavor; do not substitute without adjusting spice blend
