Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwiches with Au Jus

Instructions

    Season roast generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

    Place roast and about 1 cup water in slow cooker. Cook on high 4-5 hours or on low 8-9 hours.

    Remove roast from slow cooker and shred.

    Sauté diced onions in olive oil. Add slow cooker liquid, beef broth, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary, thyme, and salt. Simmer about 5 minutes.

    Pour au jus into blender and blend until onions are pureed. Add Kitchen Bouquet and flour, blend again.

    Return shredded roast to slow cooker. Pour au jus over roast. Cook on low until ready to serve.

    Butter hoagie buns and broil until toasted.
