Southern Sweet Tea with Baking Soda Secret

Ingredients

  • 5 tea bags, family sized or 12 regular Luzianne or Lipton brand
    loose leaf tea1 tablespoon per cupbeverage

  • 1 quart water, boiling
  • 3 quarts water, cool
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

    If using glass pitcher, hold spoon in pitcher and pour boiling water against spoon to prevent cracking; otherwise use any container

    Remove and discard tea bags
