Classic Marinara Sauce with Fresh Basil

A traditional Italian marinara built on sauteed garlic and fresh herbs. Whole stewed tomatoes simmer low with bay leaf, onion, and parsley, finished with bright basil. Ready in under 30 minutes for pasta, pizza, or any tomato-based dish.
Ingredients

- 3 clove garlic, peeled, sliced thin
- 3 tablespoon parsley, fresh, finely chopped
- 5 tablespoon onions, sweet, finely chopped
- 28 ounce tomatoes, whole stewed, broken up
- 1 bay leaf bay leaf, fresh if possible

- ¼ teaspoon pepper, black, fresh ground
- 1 teaspoon sugar, white
- 3 tablespoon basil, finely chopped
